New Delhi, May 27 (IANS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday paid his tributes to country's first prime minister Jawaharlal Nehru on his death anniversary.

"Tributes to Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru on his Punya Tithi. We remember his contribution as a freedom fighter and as our first prime minister," Modi said in a statement.
