Kasargod: Lorry- car collision- one dies, another serious

Kasargod, May 28: In a car and lorry accident which took on late Wednesday night, one person has died and another has been seriously injured.

Shadid (20) from Alampady Ermol is the person deceased. He was studying in a college in Mangaluru. Shadid breathed his last on the way to a hospital in Mangaluru.

Asgar (15) has been seriously injured. He has been admitted to a hospital In Mangaluru.

Th accident took place on the highway at Chengala in the outskirts of Kasargod.

The deceased and the injured had gone to the house of relatives at Paika in the car and were returning. The lorry carrying fish was coming from Malpe and was on its way to Kozhikode.

The car has been completely damaged. The lorry which lost control has landed on the side of the road upside down. The driver of the lorry has sustained minor injuries.

Vidhyanagar police have registered a case.
