Puttur: Former CEO accused of causing huge loss to cooperative society

Puttur, May 28: President of Brahmashree Multipurpose Cooperative Society in the town, Madan Poojary Kudmar, has filed a complaint in the town police station here against former chief executive officer (CEO) of the society, Shashikala B S, accusing the latter of misuse of society funds.

'When working as the CEO of the society, Shasikala did not maintain accounts of the society in a proper way, nor did she get the accounts properly audited. As a result, the accounts of the society show huge difference of Rs 1,06,20,000,' he said in the complaint. On the basis of this complaint, a case has been registered in the town police station.

It is gathered that Shashikala was removed from services about eight months back. The complaint was lodged after the accounts of the society were got audited to find out the actual size of the loss.
