M'luru: Mount Carmel secures 100% results in CBSE exam

Mangaluru, May 28: Mount Carmel Central School, Maryhill, secured 100 percent results in CBSE class X examination.

In all, 40 students had appeared for the exam. The fourth batch of AISSE 2015 achieved this feat. The seven students with the topmost - 10 CGPA grade are Ashwin A Vannarath, Chinmaya HN, Chris C Miranda, Nikitha V Goveas, Rebecca L Albuquerque, Tanvi Shetty and Spoorthi U Shetty.

CBSE has ruled out the system of distinctions, first class etc, but only gives grades based on CGPA (Cumulative Grade Point Average). CGPA 10 means percentage of marks will be between 95 and 100%.

Accordingly seven students come under this category. 19 students who have scored above 85% come under distinction category, and the remaining 21 students who have scored above 60% come under first class category.
