Kundapur, May 29: Nobody exactly knows what prompted the threatening ‘don’ to become a flatterer. Some feel that it a police complaint.

The don who made threat calls to Halady Srinivas Shetty, the MLA of Kundapur constituency, has suddenly gone soft. In fact he phoned Halady Srinivas Shetty and praised him, in effect ‘cancelling’ all the threat calls he made earlier.

The person said over the phone “I am calling from Australia. I phoned you because of some wrong information about you. After that I received many calls from people from various countries. They said you are a very good man and a benevolent person who help the poor. They have asked me not to disturb you because you are a good person. I will not bother you henceforth. “

This particular call was made on Wednesday evening. Halady informed about this call to the police later. It is a clear indication that dons only disturb ‘bad’ people.

Before that Halady had received phone calls from a person who claimed that he was Ravi Poojary, an underworld don settled in Australia. Because of continuous threat calls, police had given extra security to Halady Srinivas Shetty and his house.

It is not yet known whether the security to Halady will be withdrawn or not. But the don has withdrawn his threat calls.
