Truck meets with accident on Hassan - Mangaluru road

Mangaluru, May 29: A truck driving from Hassan to Mangaluru loaded with sugarcane met with an accident at 5am today.


KSRTC bus was coming from the opposite side and a private bus was overtaking it. In order to give way to the overtaking vehicle the truck driver drove to the extreme left and accidentally went over a trench on the roadside thereby losing its balance. The truck overturned. The driver and his companion escaped with minor injuries. The accident took place at Bantwal Jakribettu road near Clarie's Automobiles.
