Vehicle fire at Dubai petrol station - no casualties


DUBAI, May 31 (The National) : An petrol station in Al Quds Street was destroyed on Saturday after a white SUV caught fire on the forecourt.

In a photo sent out via the official Dubai Police Twitter account, both the vehicle and the petrol station appear engulfed in flames as thick black smoke billows into the air.

No injuries were reported.

In a statement, a spokesman for petrol companty Enoc said: “The fire was quickly contained by Dubai Civil Defence and the Enoc team... We are working with the concerned authorities to investigate the accident. The safety of our employees and customers remains our utmost priority.”
