Mangaluru, Jun 3: Raknno Weekly which is being published in Mangalore for the last 77 years and Kajulo children's Konkani Monthly published since 1999 is organizing book releasing programme of Raknno publications on Thursday, June 4 at 3.45 pm at Bishop's House Hall, Kodialbail.

‘Lampyanv' (Lantern) a collection of socio- religious analytical articles based on scriptures and church teaching by senior writer Fr Victor A Pinto, Kirem would be released on the occasion. `Mirsang Millibai' (Chilli Millibai) a collection of stories for children by senior writer Charlie Kulshekar would be released on this occasion. These would be 115th and 116th books of Raknno publications.

The editorial responsibility of Raknno and Kajulo would be also handed over in the hands of newly appointed editor and Konkani linguist Fr Valerian Fernandes. Msgr Denis Prabhu, the vicar general of the diocese of Mangalore would preside over this programme. Roy Castelino, the president of Karnataka Konkani Sahithya Academy would be present as chief guest and Venkatesh Baliga, the editor of `Kodiyala Kabara' Konkani fortnightly would be present as guest of honour.
