One dies, another injured, in bike-tempo accident at Beluvai

Moodbidri, Jun 4: In a motor bike-tempo collision opposite the panchayat office at Beluvai Kesarugadde near here on Tuesday June 2 evening, the bike rider lost his life. The pillion rider of the motor bike, who suffered grievous injuries, is being treated at Wenlock Hospital Mangaluru.

Kumar (32), a resident of Ayyappa Nagara in Kukkundoor village in Karkala taluk breathed his last in this accident. The pillion rider, Shreekant (28), who happens to be a relative of Kumar, survived with serious injuries.

Both Kumar and Shreekant worked as centring workers in construction projects. They were moving to their residence after finishing work for that day, when this accident occurred.

A case was registered in the police station here relating to this accident.
