Mangaluru, Jun 5: Two persons, who have been accused of attacking Muhammed Mustafa at Bondel in the city on June 3 stand arrested. A case of murder attempt stands registered against both the accused in Kavoor police station here.

It is said that in connection with dispute over cricket match, Satish (35) and his brother, Dinesh (30) had launched murderous assault on Mustafa. Both were produced in the court on Thursday, after which they were remanded to 15 days judicial custody.

Some misunderstanding had arisen between Dinesh and Mustafa over a cricket match played on May 31 this year. On June 3, heated words were exchanged on this issue between the two, after which Satish and Dinesh reportedly stabbed Mustafa with a knife. The policemen said that Mustafa, who has suffered injuries in the chest, face, and forehead, is recovering in a private hospital in the city.

    It is difficult to understand that a dispute over a cricket march should result in an attempt to murder. Cricket is a sport and in the spirit of sport no one should ever think of any dispute leave alone an attempt to murder.

    It is good to see that the victim is safe. Police will now resolve the problem.

    What ever might be the differences among them them but using weapon against an unarmed person is unacceptable. Let the law take its own course instead giving communal colors to it The culprits are deserving severe punishment.

    In India Innocent belongs to any community were suffering.(murder, rape etc) So if two communities were thinks deeply and calmly that we are not hindu and muslims or christian we are brothers and sisters of Mahatma Gandhi and Moulana Azad's India so I will guarantee that there is no clash between BD, VHP, PFI etc.,

    If people applies there law how can one digest.
    Everybody needs peace. That's the reason all the religions full fledged in India and not like in any other countries.

    @ Asif, Mangalore...I dont think Mustafa is not a 'Gandhi'..definitely he did something so brothers retaliated..inquiry to both sides must..reservation should not be there...and dont take majorities lighter, they will be more dangerous if you hurt, be careful

    Arresting people from majority is much faster to please others.

    It's what done by congress for last sixty years..that's the reason collapsed completely not having seat of 'opposition'.

    Same is going to happen in Karnataka. People will teach the lesson in coming days.
