GMC Hospital to hold free mega health camp on Jun 12

Ajman, Jun 5: To bring about health awareness to the people in the region, GMC Hospital Ajman will be organizing a free mega health camp on Friday June 12 from 9.00 am to 4.00 pm.

A team of specialized doctors, consultants, nurses and volunteers will conduct free consultations and checkups in cardiology, internal medicine, general surgery, gynecology, pediatrics, ENT, ophthalmology, orthopedics, dermatology, family medicine, urology, nephrology, gastroenterology, dental pulmonology, pediatric surgery, neurology and neonatology.

In addition to this, free blood sugar check up, blood pressure check up, BMI, ECG, ultrasound will be carried out to create awareness about diabetes and hypertension which has a high incidence in the region. The visitors will also be offered free medicines. These camps are done in association with various groups to help people from all nationalities.

We have been regularly conducting free health camps in our hospitals in Ajman, Sharjah and Fujairah. We will make this an annual event, which is organized to create awareness on various health issues. We always get overwhelming response for our free health camps, said Akbar Moideen, director, healthcare and retail division of Thumbay Group UAE. He further added, “As part of the corporate social responsibility of Thumbay Group we would like to help the public with free health camps every year, especially to those who do not have easy access to healthcare as it is an expensive commodity in this country. A lot of people across the UAE benefit from these camps.”
