First-time ticket buyer becomes Dubai Dollar Millionaire


Jun 6, (Emirates 247): An Indian national based in Dubai, Bijukumar Rajan has joined the list of Dubai Duty Free’s dollar millionaires as his ticket number 3631 in Series 192 was drawn at the Dubai Duty Free Millennium Millionaire Draw that took place on Tuesday at Sheikh Rashid Terminal.

Rajan, who has been in Dubai with his family since 2008, purchased his first ever ticket in the Millennium Millionaire Promotion. “This is the first time I’ve won anything in my life and I would like to thank Dubai Duty Free for making my day a very memorable one,” commented Rajan on his win.
Dubai Duty Free also conducted a Finest Surprise draw directly after the Millennium Millionaire and announced winners of the luxury car and a motorbike.

Ziad Ghosn, a Lebanese national who lives in Dubai won the Porsche Cayenne S (Jet Black Metallic) in Series 1593 with ticket no. 0472.

The winner was not available for immediate comments but will no doubt be surprised when he learns of his fantastic win.

While a sporty Ducati Superbike 899 Panigale was won by Lata Annie George, an Indian national in Dubai. George won her Superbike in Series no. 257 with ticket no. 0114.

Commenting on the exciting news the winner exclaimed: “I’ve never thought that discouraging my son to buy a new bike could win me one day. I purchased the ticket at the Dubai Duty Free stand during the Arabian Travel Market and claimed that my son would once drive it. I am sure he would be over the moon when I told him about this.”

The winning ticket numbers were drawn by Dubai Duty Free senior officials.
