Dubai: Air India Express allows 30 kg baggage all year round

Daijiworld Media Network - Dubai

Dubai, Jun 7: Air India Express has now announced free baggage allowance of 30 kg from all Gulf destinations to India all through the year. It may be recalled that AI Express had earlier offered this allowance only up till June 2015 as a special promotion.

"We are happy to extend our offer of 30 kg free baggage allowance throughout the year. The offer is valid for passengers who travel from Middle East and Gulf destinations to India," stated a press released from Air India middle east office.

"Tickets issued prior to June 5 will also be entitled for the free baggage allowance," stated the release.

For further information on free baggage allowance passengers may contact Air India Express office or its authorised travel agents.

Somehow with the luggage we can still handle with Kilos.but what about punctuality of flight?didnt AI made News about cancelling flights or spare parts affair?such things should be cleared first and automatically passengers will be there.everyone wants security and safe flight home and back.Mostly we are as passengers travelling out of gulf countrys, undergo a Kilo Problem at Bajpe .They allow only 15kilos .extra Kilo costs above 300rupees.money making Machine.why dont the officials make us easier?when international travellers are allowed 23,or 30kilos,and at Mangalore have to pay in thousands as extra luggage.why dont we improve .please have mercy on us.

From highly reliable source, came to know drink is available, but it is entirely depend upon mood of cabin crew. They have to take short nap, in such time if passengers request for second drink may be irritating and also currency change is next headache. Passenger offer high denomination notes make them restless throughout three hour journey. In simple, “NA REHEGA BANS, NA BAJEGI BANSURI”

No doubt all praise AIE. This is first direct first flight from Gulf to Mangalore. Low air fare,( while comparing the other direct air line to Mangalore) within 3.20hrs we are in home land. What else we want. We have struggled a lot with via flights to reach the destination. Fight with huge size misquotes and rodents in the awaiting lounge of the air ports

Thank you. Mr.Melwin D'Silva. (As per Khaleej Times, you the person behind these changes).Kindly please inform or implement this change at airport or in the system, so that passengers are not harassed at boarding gate. Will you please let us know, if a passenger already availed 10KG extra by paying, whether Air line refund his extra payment or he will be allowed 10Kg plus (30plus10=40Kg). If allowed to carry 10KG extra apart from 30KG normal, please be kind enough to inform those passengers by SMS, Phone or by mail. (It was happened to me last May at boarding gate they have informed me that 40KG is my free baggage allowance)

This is indeed very good news for all of us….. But same time it is very bad for people like me this time since I told my family to carry only 20 kgs each since it was the maximum free allowance… but now they will purchase another 40 kgs worth of goods for four tickets in total. Thanks Air India Express….either way my credit card will enjoy the swipe!!!!
