Bengaluru: Congress topped GP polls in 21 districts: Siddaramaiah

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (RJP)

Bengaluru, Jun 7: The claim of victory by political parties in the recently held gram panchayat elections continues. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has said that Congress has emerged victorious in 21 districts and more than 34,000 candidates from his party have won in the elections.

He was speaking after garlanding the statue of former minister D Devaraj Urs outside the Vidhana Soudha on Saturday June 6.

"Congress party has emerged number one in 21 districts with more than 34,000 Congress-backed candidates winning. Congress-backed candidates have won the maximum number of seats across the state. The victory spree will continue in the BBMP, taluk panchayat and assembly elections as well," Siddaramaiah said.

"BJP has managed to gain only in 5 districts and JD(S) has come first in 3 districts while Congress is way ahead of them in 21 districts. So many Congress-backed candidates winning is a great news for us," Siddaramaiah added.

Udupi, Jun 6: Former MLA Raghupati Bhat held a press meet on Saturday June 6 in connection to BJP winning a majority of seats in the gram panchayat election in Udupi.

He said that BJP had won in 10 gram panchayats out of 17, while 6 panchayats went to Congress and there was a tie in the newly-formed Neelavar gram panchayat.

"The Congress made a clean sweep of Varambally panchayat while the Kokkarne representative was unanimously selected by the party. In Kemmannu, the BJP had vacated for Nagarika Samiti members," he added.

Bhat further said that the BJP swept out the Congress by securing 156 seats out of a total 290 seats.

Bhat said that the BJP has got a majority of seats even though the Congress MLA is from the ruling party and added that the failure was due to Congress' anti-people policies. "In comparison to the previous year, BJP has got one more seat. So, the entire result shows potentiality of the party. District incharge minister Vinay Kumar Sorake failed to keep Congress hold in Kaup constituency, his home turf," said Bhat.

The Bihar election will be another big letter writing. The high level plunging of the stocks of certain big companies will be wiping off billions of dollars from the market which will force the economy to shrink. One BJP commentator said that during the last year, $ 40 billion FDI was landed in India. In the month of April, only 2.1 billion, which was the lowest in four years. How the mammoth economic development can be undertaken without having billions of dollars to invest?

The electorate of India are not totally blinded by the party worship as the BJP leadership blindly believe. Amith Shaw has some blind believe that through expanding the membership of the party and to the BJP as the largest political party in the world, thus the electorate are going to cast the vote for them too blindly.

But they are easily vacillated by the oppression of freedom, especially the religious freedom, touching their food preference, galloping inflation and social disorder.

The electorate are far smarter than the politicians think! This is another big letter writing on the wall grading the overall performance of the BJP party, another Delhi wall poster writing.

Even though Mr. Modi had some big visions, his party and the sister parties have created a very disappointing performance terrorizing the minorities, also a greater percentage of the socially high class-educated and peace loving Hindus are caught up in a total confusion due to the backward march of the nation into some theocracy. The vast majority of the Hindus in India are somewhat panic attacked due to the strong emergence of the religious fanaticism undertaken by the hidden radicals. How Mr. Modi with his great
vision could suppress this dangerous and dividing spirit which has emerged abruptly since he took the steering of New Delhi Delhi?

When I did attend the marriage of my Gujarathi friend's daughter marriage last week, I asked the people from Gujarat who used to get overexcited expecting some supernatural miracles when Mr. Modi comes into power, now responding " He is trying hard but the result is not as expected".

As of 6th June, It is gathered that almost 40,000 Congress backed or affiliated candidates have won out of 79,000 winning candidates.

The remaining 39,000 candidates are divided between JDS, BJP, CPIM, JDU, MES, AAP, AIADMK.

BJP has fared well in Udupi, but in D.K, it is Congress which has has managed to do well given the fact that congress was hammered badly in 2014 lok sabha elections.

COngress leads in 21 Districts and BJP and JDS are way way far behind.

"Pride goes before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall"
    Proverbs 16:18 (Bible).

It seems like the Central Government is still very haughty with over confidence even after watching the hand writing on the wall.

Since they came into power, how many laws were enacted in various States ruled by the BJP which has caused total panic to the citizens.
So, they will be faced with the
"cause and effect" formula or the "karma" effect.

If the school children get one egg every day in their diet, it will help their brain power through the high protean egg. Can we imagine the autocratic mindset of the M.P. Chief Minister blocking that since he doesn't like egg thus endangering the health and mental potential of the thousands of children? The human being have 0 value now. India never had such an ill-fate, the Government in various States enacting laws to fit the whim and fancy of the politicians while pushing down the millions in their States into hunger and poverty. The electorate of India will be teaching these autocratic politicians a good lesson one by one.

What a paradox in a democratic country, some States have religious freedom of conversion, the right to eat the food of their choice but some other States have no right in eating what they like and believing in the GOD of their choice.

Now I give some serious thoughts about the re-incarnation doctrine of the Hindu religion. Some of the politicians are perhaps mild incarnation of Stalin, Hitler, Idi Amin, and the rest.

What kind of fool our CM is?
The idea of Gram Panchayath itself is apolitical. Moreover Election commission also has issued directives not to corrupt the gram panchayath elections by contesting under party banners.

Holding charges of a responsible position, Sidhu s that congress has won in 21 districts???

This is what happens when an illiterate who has come up only by appeasement/ divisive/ Party hopping politics, becomes a chief minister!

@ Shankar - It is a well known fact that these candidates fight elections with the funding from political parties.

SO, obviously 90 percent candidates have political affiliations...its just that they cannot make it public, after they win you will find them in their party offices.

Also, these voters are those people voters who form the 'chunk of votes during Parliament or Assembly elections.

After issuing directives from election commission also your party people contesting with modi's pic.
