M'luru: Meat Traders association distributes books for poor students

Mangaluru, June 7: “The gesture of meat traders of distributing free books to poor students in this age of donation menace is praiseworthy”, said Bunder police station inspector Shantaram.

He was speaking as a chief guest in the free books distribution programme held by Jameeyathul meat traders association held at A1 bhag, Kudroli, here on Saturday June 6.

State association president Ali Hassan speaking on the occasion, said that books worth Rs 2.6 lacs were distributed to one thousand students in the programme.

Association president J Abdul Khader, leaders Shafuddin and Abdul Rehman were present on the occasion.
