Mysuru, Jun 7: Novena with Eucharistic celebration have commenced at of St.Antony’s shrine, Dornahalli, Mysuru from June 4. The celebration was inaugurated by Dr Marie Joseph, vicar general of Mysuru diocese by hoisting the flag.
As a preparation for the feast the novena masses are being celebrated every day at 11.00am and 5.30pm followed by the car procession and Benediction.
The preachers for the celebration of novena masses are Fr K AWilliam, FrBalraj, FrTenny C, Fr Brose, Fr Sebatian A, Fr Marie Xavier, Fr Chinappa, Fr Sebastian.
On June 13, the festal Eucharistic celebrations will begin from 5.00am onward.
The Pontifical festal Eucharist will be celebrated at 10.00 am by Dr Thomas A Vazhapilly, the bishop of Mysuru diocese.
At 11.30 am a Tamil mass will be celebrated by Fr Joseph Abraham from Arch diocese of Bengaluru.At 6.00 pm car procession and Benediction will mark the end of the feast for the year 2015.
All the arrangements are made under the able leadership of Fr Gilbert D’Silva, the shrine director.
