Man involved with accident dies days later of internal injuries

Kundapur, Jun 8: A person, who had been injured after an auto rickshaw hit his motor bike, died later. The deceased has been identified as Gopal Mogaveera (39) from Koravadi near Kumbhashi in the taluk.

Mogaveera was moving in his motor bike on Tekkatte-Kome road at the road bend where the road deviates to the seashore on June 4 when an auto rickshaw that came from opposite direction hit him directly instead of moving aside. Although he had suffered severe internal injuries, it is said that he got first aid for minor external injuries which were visible, from the local hospital.

After he went home from the hospital, he started suffering from severe abdominal pain. He was admitted into Manipal Hospital the next day, but treatments given there failed to have positive impact on his condition. He breathed his last on Sunday June 7.

The auto driver involved with this accident has been identified as Raju from Manoor Padukere. After learning that Mogaveera died in the accident on Sunday, Brahmavar police inspector, Arun Naik, and Kota station house officer, Basappa, rushed to the spot along with some other personnel, and registered a case.
