Mangaluru, Jun 9: Ashwin Kumar (26), a resident of Thokkottu, lost his life after the motor bike he was riding tumbled into the roadside gorge after he lost control over it. This tragedy occurred on national highway at Jappinamogaru here on the night of Sunday June 7.

The police believe that this accident occurred between 11 pm on Sunday and 5 am on Monday. Kumar worked as supervisor for a real estate firm in the city. His body was found from the roadside gorge near Geetha Auto Works at Jappinamogaru on Monday morning, by the side of his two-wheeler.

It is believed thatAshwin Kumar would have fallen from the road when going home from the city after losing control over the motor bike. An old truck was stationed at the spot where the motor bike fell. As such, in all likelihood, he was killed after his head banged against the truck when falling down.

Some garage workers who came to work on Monday saw Kumar's body and conveyed information to police. A case stands registered in traffic (east) police station.
