Mangaluru, Jun 9: "BJP will visit the house of every member who has enrolled recently with BJP through the missed call campaign and collect personal details as part of 'Maha Sampark Abhiyan' which has been launched at the national level," said district BJP president Pratap Simha Nayak.

He was addressing a press meet held at the BJP office here on Tuesday, June 9.

"In DK district alone 2,27,000 lac people have enrolled with the party through the missed call campaign. Now BJP has more than 10 crore members in the party throughout India, making BJP the largest political party in the world. 'Maha Sampark Abhiyan' is the second phase of the campaign where the volunteers of the party will visit all the members house who enrolled recently and collect personal details. The members will be told about the agenda of the party and will be explained about its works. We will also collect its member’s opinion about the party. This is a challenging mission but BJP is optimistic about its success”.

"The main aim is to strengthen the party and make the members part of the work of building a stronger nation. All the schemes launched by PM Modi have become a huge success till now. The ‘Maha Sampark Abhiyan’ will be launched at the district level on June 16 by MP Nalin Kumar Kateel. The first phase of the campaign will start in between June 23 and July 6. The volunteers will spend nearly 30 minutes in every house and collect the information and explain the achievements of the party. BJP party seeks cooperation from all the members when the volunteers arrive at the houses."

Lashing out at Congress government in Karnataka, he said, “The state government's decision to withdraw criminal cases against 1,600 PFI and KFD activists is just a vote bank politics. The Congress-led state government wants to appease particular communities. The district BJP condemns the state government's decision and demands not to allow anti-national elements to go free," he stressed.

Former minister Krishna J Palemar, BJP corporator Sudhir Shetty and others were present on the occasion.
