GP poll : Intelligence report places Congress ahead of others

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, Jun 10: At a time when different political parties have been claiming that candidates supported by them have won majority of seats in the gram panchayat (GP) poll held recently in the state, the intelligence report has said that in reality, Congress-supported candidates have humbled others in the race.

The report prepared by the intelligence department is the basis on which chief minister, Siddaramaiah, and other Congress leaders have been relying on in repeatedly shouting from the rooftops that Congress dominated the GP election by bagging a lion's share in the face of bitter challenge posed by BJP.

This report has placed BJP and JDS in second and third spot in that order behind Congress. Out of 93,736 seats which went to polls, results were declared in case of 92,985 seats. Congress has bagged 42,055 seats, leaving behind BJP with around 30,000 seats and JDS, which is at a distant third spot with 13,245 seats, the report has analyzed.

Belagavi has the highest number of GP seats at 8,453. Out of them, 8,299 results have been announced. 3,551 seats have gone to Congress, with BJP getting 3,496 seats. JDS could get only 107 seats in this district. The intelligence report says that candidates backed by Maharashtra Ekikarana Samiti (MES) have got 350 seats in this district.

The remaining 7,532 seats have been shared between CPI, CPIM, BSP, Raita Sangha, MES, RPI, SDPI, and others. Among them, MES is leading with 350 seats, relegating Raita Sangha to second spot with 145 seats. SDPI has won 56 seats, CPM has bagged 18, with one seat each going to BSP and RPI, the report points out.

If your comments are read by the majority citizens of India, then the process of BJP's down fall is surely in the making by next LS elections. Pride (egoism) of BJP will surely turn into destruction of their existence.
BJP leaders are engaged in settling the cores with opposition rather than implementing democratic rule and economic developments of the country.
Matured politician act as though they are undergoing political training.

It is now upto the Congress to run the State to win the confidence of each citizen by giving them a clean
governance by eradicating the corruption at all levels. For the public there is no option other than BJP and Congress. Though the congress rulers too have played a major role with corruption, the common citizen has to bank on them since they are secular - minorities and who are affected by the one sided ruling of dictatorship of bjp would always favour congress and would like them to run the country as per the democratic constitution

our ancestors were wise and had a foresight, hence they voted for Congress since 1947 as a result we are a major economic & military power today.

If they would have voted for Murderer NATHURAM's party aka RSS-BJP then we would have been another failed state like Pokisstan.

Who promised cheaper price rice for poor BPL families? Do you think Modi need shaadi Bhagya? is he married? It is the BPL familes need shadi Bhagya and all those schemes that brought up in the last two years.
What Siddu or the Karnataka Congress has done has reflected in the recent elections.
People of India are waiting for Black money return and Ram Mandir, that’s all the Modi agenda. What else BJP promised? what else they can fulfill?
First you ask Modi to clear the river Ganga and then we can believe that he can the run the country as promised.
Just go back and check how many crores were spent by Modi within 10 months of becoming PM of a country where 18% people are living below poverty level and the PM is enjoying the luxuries of special plane, special media attention, Monkey Bath?

Which Intelligence and what report???? BJP bagged 30k seats means they performed very well compare to last GP Poll….means they succeed in grabbing so many thousand seats from CONGiss held by them previously???? Apply margin of error by 10% and over enthusiasm by another 10% means in fact CONGiss got only 33,000 maximum seats for sure!!!! It means what Siddu said earlier tally of more than 30,000 seats for CONGiss means correct!!!! Wait for Eshwarappa’s highly intelligence report too, he would say more than 60,000 seats won by BJP and Deve Gowda’s ground level report too and amazingly he would also claim that more than 20,000 seats won by JDS too…..

Your duty starts from today to only count regional parties along with the congress.

All the parties swallowed at once by BJP in the last lok sabha election.

In Lok Sabha 2014 elections, so many people voted to BJP, believing Modi/BJP promises.
But when they saw the reality far different from their promises, their voting pattern changed.
Voters do not belong to anybody. They will vote for performance not for unkept promise.

Rest all in states conquered by BJP.
Now on wards soniaamma called president of karnataka instead of congress...is well and good.

When you cannot even retain seats as a opposition in central..what's the use of party of 125 years.
