Kasargod: Man ends life at home when alone

Kasargod, Jun 10: The body of Chandran (35), son of Kunhiraman and Thambayi couple residing at Thayyeniwayikkana in Bheemanadi, Hosdurg in the district was found hanging from the ceiling at his room on Tuesday June 9.

Chandran's wife and children had been on a visit to the house of his father-in-law, and he was living here alone since the last three days. Chandran used to eke out a living by climbing coconut trees and plucking coconuts for the people.

Another person, who used to work with Chandrann often, came to call him on Tuesday. After finding that Chandran was not responding to calls or opening the door, he informed others.

The policemen found that the legs of Chandran were touching the floor, and his body bore injury marks. As the family members, who returned home after learning about Chandran's demise, expressed suspicion, the body was sent to Pariyaram Medical College Hospital for postmortem.
