Mangaluru, Jun 10: As a part of 'World No Tobacco day', an anti-tobacco awareness programme and dental treatment camp was organised by District Legal Services authority in co-ordination with A J Institute of Dental Sciences along with Mangalore Advocates Association in the district prison, Dakshina Kannada, Mangaluru for the inmates on June 6.
Ganesh B – senior civil judge and S P Chengappa – president of Mangalore Advocates Association addressed the gathering. A talk on 'Ill effects of tobacco' was given.
Oral screening was carried out for the inmates and treatment was provided. Obaleshappa B T – superintendent – district prison, Dr Vijaya Hegde, Dr Shubhan Alva, Dr Rajani George, Dr Jyothi Ganesh, Dr Pooja Shetty and Dr Karan from A J Institute of Dental Sciences were present.
