Bantwal, Jun 10: Roshan Moras (28) from Siddakatte, who had been arrested earlier this year in connection to a theft, died in an accident in Goa.

Son of Victor Moras, Roshan was working in Goa for the past three years. He was the fifth among 6 children of Victor Moras.

It is said that in 2012, three persons including Roshan were accused of stealing a stereo from a car belonging to one Gerald Lobo. Thereafter, Roshan reportedly went absconding and Bantwal rural police searched for him in vain.

After three years, Roshan was found in Madgaon, Goa this January. Bantwal rural police then arrested him and produced him in court.

Roshan was later released on bail, and he again went back to Goa. Just last week, the police had asked him to appear in the court.

3 people were involved in the theft of a car stereo. Where are the other 2? Why go after only one? Has the stereo restored to Gerald Lobo, the owner? If yes, he should have withdrawn the case unless there were other hidden reasons. If Roshan was habitual robber, he would not have taken up a job. Anyway my sympathies to the sorrowing family.

Just for one stereo. Wow big, big robbers are set free with criminal records. One who is held for murder, drug peddlers, rapist, criminals, goondas, all these people go away easily. Police were after this poor Roshan, you should have given him one chance, if one more robbery was committed then ok take him to task. Poor fellow lost his life in misery.

RIP!! Very sad incident where an accused who flicked a car stereo had to abscond for 3 long years and then get caught and then die mysteriously!! This in the context that flicking is such a small crime, when so many big goons, white collar thugs are operating openly with the help of their God Fathers and powerful lawyers!!

Top people from famous religious places misappropriate crores of funds in broad daylight while preaching about God, with no action being taken against them just to give an example!!

The above post is just to highlight the 'irony' of how our hypocritical society functions and not a condonation of the car stereo robbery!!
