Puttur, Jun 13: It is no secret that state health minister U T Khadar likes to mingle with ordinary citizens, lead life like a common man and vibe with ups and downs in their lives.
This quality of the minister came to the fore once again on Friday June 12, when he chose to enter a roadside makeshift eatery to have lunch in the company of his associates. While there are politicians who settle for nothing less than five-star hotels, the minister's attitude proved that he does not deem it necessary to choose only luxury hotels as far as consuming food is concerned.
The minister was going to Mysuru in car along with some others on Friday. In the afternoon, he rendered Namaz at Sampya mosque near the town. As it was lunch time, he entered the eatery located opposite the mosque, without even trying to search for a standard restaurant in the town.
The minister had gruel and Kori Pulimunchi (chicken dish), which is a popular combination among the people of the district.
The minister went ahead with his journey after finishing lunch along with four others including his car driver.
Excited by the minister's visit, the locals began clicking pictures on their mobile phones, which soon went viral on WhatsApp.
