M'luru: Free Yoga Week to mark World Yoga Day to be organized on Jun 21

Mangaluru, Jun 13: Addressing a press meet here on Saturday June 13, K Narayana Shetty, secretary of DK District Vishwa Yoga Dinacharane Committee said, "A 'Free Yoga Week' will be organized by Dakshina Kannada District Vishwa Yoga Dinacharane Committee from June 14 to June 21 at Sanghanikethan, Mannagudda to mark World Yoga Day."


Shetty announced that Dr Prabha Adhikari of KMC will be inaugurating the programme around 9.00 am. The Yoga Week will be organized in four batches. The first batch is from 6.30 am to 8.00 am, second batch from 10.00 am to 11.30 am, the third from 4.00 pm to 6.00 pm and the fourth from 5.30 pm to 7.00 pm. The 'Free Health Yoga Camp' is specially for senior citizens from 10.00 am to 11.30 am and 4.30 pm to 6.00 pm.

He also said that the camp is open to everyone. The district administration has provided full support for the event. The programmes to mark world Yoga Day will be held on June 21.

MP Nalin Kumar Kateel will inaugurate the programme. A stage programme will be held around 11.00 am.

Jnaneshwar Naik of Pathanjali, Sujatha Marla, Monappa Bhandary and Shrinivas Prabhu were present at the meet.
