Puttur, Jun 15: Chandravathi, mother of district BJP committee member, Chandrashekhar Bappalige, lost her life in a bus accident which occurred at Channarayanapatna in Hassan district on Sunday June 14 morning.
Chandravathi had gone to Bengaluru to visit her son there. She was returning by a Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation bus, when the bus, which was coming to the town from Bengaluru, hit road divider after the driver lost control over the vehicle.
Chandravathi suffered serious injuries in this accident. Although she was rushed to a hospital immediately, she breathed her last there sometime thereafter, it is gathered.
She is survived by two sons and a daughter.
