Former BCCI chief N Srinivasan visits Subrahmanya, performs rituals

Daijiworld Media Network - Sullia (SP)

Sullia, Jun 15: Former chairman of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), N Srinivasan, arrived at temple town, Subrahmanya, in the taluk late night on Saturday June 13. It is gathered that he was here till Monday afternoon.

On his arrival, Srinivasan stayed in a private lodge. On Sunday morning, he began to perform 'Sarpa Samskara' and 'Ashlesha Bali' , rituals meant to appease the serpent god. On Monday morning too, he will continue to perform 'Sarpa Samskara', it is said. He will later undertake 'Ashlesha Bali' and offer special puja at the temple.

Srinivasan's arrival and two-day stay have been a low key affair, and his arrival here had not been informed in advance. It is gathered that Srinivasan had visited Subrahmanya in the past too and offered some services to the presiding deity.

A few months back, he had arrived at Mangaluru by flight and reached Sringeri by road, where prayers were offered seeking divine interference in the problems he was facing. During that visit too, he had kept himself away from news-persons.

No need for this. Instead repentance and make good of what one has done is enough. Give the amassed excess wealth to the needy and come clean to the society. Trying to mask the wrongdoings with temple visit will not help. If one is sincerely truthful and clear, deity will come to oneself. This applies to one and all.

All the poojas and homas, yagas or yogas of the world cannot wipe away the guilt of the ill gotten wealth... Instead of that Mr. Srinivasan, give away most of that wealth to the poor, do a little service to the needy and you will find peace...
