Catholic Sabha Shirva deanery holds information camp


Udupi, Jun 14: Catholic Sabha, Shirva deanery of Udupi diocese, in association with Karnataka state Minority Development Board, organized information camp on government facilities meant for Christians at Our Lady of Health parish auditorium, Shirva, near here on Sunday June 14.

Our Lady of Health – Shirva parish priest Fr Stany Tauro presided the programme.

Fr Tauro urged the parishioners to avail the state benefits through Minority Development Board.



















Udupi district Minority Development Board officer Sridar Bhandary briefed about state facilities meant for Christians with parishioners of Shirva deanery on the occasion.

Twenty-eight Catholic representatives of Shirva deanery who were elected in the recently held gram panchayat elections were felicitated along with Allen D’Souza of Mukamar parish who strived for availing state facilities to parishioners of Shirva deanery since the past 2 years during the programme.

Catholic Sabha political wing convener serine D’sa, state facilities co-ordinator Reginald Lobo and Catholic Sabha treasurer Paustine D’Souza were present at the dais.

Catholic Sabha Shirva deanery president Melwyn Aranha welcomed the gathering. Secretary Leena Machado proposed the vote of thanks. Gilbert Pinto compeered the programme.
