Bengaluru, Jun 16: A list of around 500 persons to be appointed as directors for various corporations and boards is said to be ready with the efforts of the Congress top leaders in the state.

A review by the chief minister is expected now before the names are sent to departments concerned and the announcements made by them.

Every district has sent a list to the state leadership. Based on that the chief minister Siddaramaiah, state Congress chief Dr G Parameshwar and H M Revanna drafted a final list after discussion recently.

Every district will get 16 posts, it is said, but Tumkur will get 18.

An announcement regarding the appointment of president and vice-president in 8 corporations will be made soon. When the posts of president and vice-president were filled in about 80 corporations and boards last time, these 8 corporations were left out. Now the Congress party high command wants the seats filled at the soonest.

Typical "koopa manduka" !!!so thinks i'm non-kannadiga??? go and see in states like MH, TN, WB...there it is only locals in state govt jobs. These 500 are state govt jobs and should be recruited thru KAS or other such exams on Merit only and not Resv. is my point here and preference should be given to Locals. Otherwise u r doomed
