Kasargod: Two friends die after being hit by train

Kasargod, Jun 16: Two friends died after a train hit them at Chembarika on Monday June 15. The incident came to light on Tuesday June 16.

The deceased have been identified as Abdulla (58) from Badoor and Abdul Khadar (70) from Kozhipady, Kumble.

It is said that the deceased were good friends. They had left their houses on Monday morning. But as they did not return home till late night, the worried families of the duo enquired and learnt about the train accident at Chembarika.

The families then came to Kasargod general hospital where the bodies were kept and identified them.

Abdulla was a coolie worker while Abdul Khadar was a fisherman.

The bodies have been handed over to the families after post-mortem.
