Mamata greets people on Ramadan


Kolkata, June 17 (IANS): West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday greeted the people on the Muslim holy month of Ramadan that begins on Thursday.

"The holy month of Ramazan is a special time for introspection and spiritual renewal. This month of fasting is rewarded at the end by the Holy Eid-Ul-Fitre.

"For this auspicious month, I extend my greetings to all my Muslim brothers and sisters. I share their piety and hope that all their Roza are accepted by the Almighty," she said on Twitter and Facebook.
