Mangaluru: CCB police foil murder plot, arrest eight, seize weapons

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru

Mangaluru, Jun 18: The city crime branch (CCB) police led by inspector Valentine D'Souza on Thursday June 17 foiled a murder conspiracy and arrested eight persons near Jokatte industrial area here.

Based on credible information that a Scorpio was moving suspiciously in the vicinity of an electrode factory near Baikampady, the CCB police raided the spot and arrested eight persons who were said to be planning to murder a man identified as Ilyas, who had been in jail till recently.

The arrested are Sahil Ismail alias Sahil (20), a resident of Krishnapura, Suzaan alias Mohammed Suzaan alias Sujja (18), a resident of Haleangady, Mohammed Aneez alias Aneez (18) of Padu Panambur, Haleangady, Abdul Rauf alias Rauf (20) of Haleangady, Mohammed Suhail alias Suhail (20) of Kuthar, Mahendra (35) of Tyagarajanagar, Bengaluru, Srinivas (40) of Basavanagudi, Bengaluru, and Shravana (36) of Banashankari, Bengaluru.

The accused had plotted to kill Ilyas against whom they had an old grudge and had also planned to rob some well-to-do persons, police said. They had kept a watch on Ilyas' movements. They had taken a Scorpio on rent to commit the crime and changed its number plate.

The police also seized five machetes/swords, a fake pistol, 16 mobile phones apart from the Scorpio from the eight accused.

Among the accused, Suzaan is the younger brother of Safwan of Haleangady who is currently under judicial custody. It is learnt that it was on Safwan's instructions that the eight had planned to kill Ilyas.

Ilyas, a resident of Ullal, had been arrested under Goonda Act in connection with a crime and had served jail sentence. He was recently released.

Accused Mahendra is booked in an attempt-to-murder case in JP Nagar police station, Bengaluru. Sahil Ismail faces a theft case in Bajpe police station and attempt-to-murder case in Hassan city police station.

The eight accused and the seized items have been handed over to Panambur police for further investigations.

The arrest operation was conducted on the directions of police commissioner S Murugan, under the guidance of DCP (law and order) K M Shantaraju, DCP (crime) Vishnuwardhan, and led by CCB inspector Valentine D'Souza.

For their criminal act, no need to wait further just press the trigger and close the file. Else politicians commercial mind lawyers will misuse them for their commercial benefit.

Well done Valentine D'Souza and team for arresting eight people, who conspiring, plotting for the murder of Illyas and seize weapons.Next year at least we can celebrate Valentine's day.Now what is the next step?.The arrested people will be kept in jail for sometime and released on bail just for show off. That what is the end result in our judiciary system. They should be shot dead without any consideration or mercy. They are anti-national elements. Why to wait? No jail,No hearing,No bail just shoot all of them.

    Ramadan Kareem!!!

It's pity that these criminals will spend the holy month in jail!

Its difficult for many of us to read Kannada number plates, hence criminals use Kannada illiteracy/ hypocrisy for their advantage in their get away vehicles..
