Mangaluru: Coast gets abundant rain, enough sunshine

Mangaluru, Jun 18: Coastal Karnataka got good rainfall on Wednesday June 17. The rain which started pounding the region midnight on Tuesday continued through early morning. Sunshine took over during late morning, but it paved way for incessant rain since Wednesday afternoon.

The entire stretch of the coast between Kasargod and Uttara Kannada districts got good rain. Puttur, Bantwal and Sullia taluks got comparatively less rain. Moodbidri registered good rainfall. All the taluks in Udupi district also reported heavy rain.

The meteorological department has predicted heavy rain to continue in the coast during the next two days, with very heavy rains in isolated areas.
