Karkala: Scooter rider dies after hitting stationary bus

Karkala, Jun 18: A person riding a scooter died at Nitte village in the taluk on Wednesday June 17, after his vehicle hit a stationary bus at Nitte in the taluk. The incident occurred at Bhramari in Nitte village.

Madhukar Shetty (59), native of Edubettu near Nitte Borgalgudde was the unfortunate victim of this accident. He hit a Mumbai-bound bus that had stopped at Bhramari by the side of the highway for picking passengers.

Shetty died on the spot due to grave injuries he suffered in the head region. He has left behind wife, three sons, and a daughter. He was a farmer by profession, and had completed construction of a new house and begun to live there six months back.
