Lily Allen signs with models management firm

Los Angeles, Jun 18 (IANS): Pop star Lily Allen has signed with IMG Models, an international model management firm for "worldwide representation".

A statement on IMG's website read: "Multi-platinum selling artist Lily Allen has signed with IMG Models for worldwide representation. Currently recording her fourth album, Lily has worked with multiple designers, brands and photographers, including Chanel, Rankin, Nick Knight, Simon Emmett, Angelo Pennetta, and David Vasilijevic," reports femalefirst.co.uk.

Allen, who returned to the music industry with the single "Hard out here" in 2013, is currently working on her fourth album and clearly has no plans to slow down.

The announcement continued: "Since emerging in 2004 with the iconic No 1 debut single 'Smile', Lily has gone on to sell more than five million albums worldwide. Her success in the UK quickly spread around the world and defined an entire genre of music, helping shift the musical axis toward young female artists.

"As Lily became Britain's most fascinating pop star, her songwriting talents were recognised with several awards, including three Ivor Novello Awards in 2010."

The news comes after Allen was announced as the new face of Danish clothing brand Vero Moda earlier this year.
