South Korea MERS cases rise to 165


Seoul, Jun 18 (IANS): With three new confirmed cases of Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) in South Korea on Thursday, the total number of cases has risen to 165, authorities said.

The health ministry also confirmed three more deaths, taking the toll to 23, Xinhua news agency reported.

Authorities said 118 patients are under treatment and 6,729 people are in quarantine.
