Rainy Thursday likely in Karnataka


Bengaluru, June 18 (IANS): Most places in Karnataka would experience rain and thundershowers on Thursday, the Met office said here.

While the minimum temperature was recorded at 20.1 degress Celsius, the maximum temperature is likely to hover around 28 degrees.

The weather office has forecast a cloudy sky with one or two spells of rain and thundershowers for Bengaluru city.

Meanwhile, the southwest monsoon has weakened over north interior Karnataka, officials added.

It rained 1.2 mm and 1.7 mm in Bengaluru city and HAL Airport respectively on Wednesday.

Bengaluru recorded a maximum temperature of 27.2 degrees Celsius, two notches below the season's average, while the minimum temperature was recorded at 20.1 degrees Celsius, average for this time of the season.
