Hot Thursday in Delhi, Friday to be cloudy


New Delhi, June 18 (IANS): It was a hot Thursday in the national capital, as the maximum temperature was recorded two notches above the season's average at 41.1 degrees Celsius. The sky will be partly cloudy on Friday, the Met department said.

Friday's maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to hover around 40 and 26 degrees Celsius, respectively, said an official of the India Meteorological Department.

Thursday's minimum temperature settled at 27.7 degrees Celsius, normal for this time of the season.

Wednesday's maximum temperature was 39.7 degrees, normal for this time of the season, while the minimum was 26.2 degrees, two notches below the season's average.
