Udupi, Jun 19: A person slipped into overflowing drain at Halladi in the taluk on Wednesday June 17. The deceased has been identified as Chandrashekhar Mogaveera (59).
Mogaveera used to work as cleaner in a bar in Shiriyara town. On Wednesday evening, he left his workplace, telling the concerned that he was returning home. The family members got worried as he did not come home even at night. During searches, they found the body of Mogaveera that had fallen face down in the drain.
Although he was taken to a hospital in nearby Brahmavar immediately, the doctors said that he had died before being brought there. A case of unnatural death was registered in Kota police station.
