Mangaluru, Jun 19: Meenakshi (53), Dakshina Kannada district education coordinating resource person under Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, passed away due to ill health at her residence here on Thursday June 18.

Meenakshi (53) was a native of Manya in Kasargod district. She had earlier worked as a teacher in government high school at Benjanapadavu, Bantwal taluk. She was deputed as coordinating resource person on temporary basis two years back, and continued in that position. She stayed in government residential quarters located by the side of the zilla panchayat office at Kottara in the city.

Meenakshi's daughter, who approached her mother to make queries about her well being in the morning, found out that she was no more. She had breathed her last in her sleep. Although she was immediately taken to hospital in office vehicle, she could not be revived.

Meenakshi is survived by husband, a son, and two daughters.
