Advani cancels meeting with Kejriwal

New Delhi, June 19 (IANS): Veteran Bharatiya Janata Party leader Lal Krishna Advani cancelled his meeting with Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal scheduled for Friday evening.

According to informed sources, the meeting was cancelled following pressure from the BJP.

"To save party from further embarrassment, it was decided that the BJP leader should not meet the Delhi CM," a BJP source told IANS.

Already in the line of opposition's fire over the Lalit Modi issue, the ruling BJP was further driven to a corner over remarks of party senior leader L.K. Advani that he did not rule out another "Emergency-like situation" in the country.

Kejriwal was among the first to respond to Advani's interview published in the Indian Express.

"Advani ji is correct in saying that emergency can't be ruled out. Is Delhi their first experiment?" he tweeted in an apparent reference to his ugly power tussle with the Centre.

After Advani's remark, Kejriwal sought a meeting with him. Advani earlier agreed to meet him on Friday evening.

People who voted for BJP are happy with its functioning till date. Those who were already against it,are using their intelligence unnecessarily to excavate the things from the past such as so called internal fight for becoming PM before elections and now the politics being played for President by Advani ji.Everything is quite clear-Modi ji won the election for BJP with his personality, honesty and patriotism for his country,,, he is delivering at all fronts,,, there is as such no slap on his face as regards Delhi elections as this was the weak Delhi BJP who could not read the mood of electorate after Loksabha elections,,,,there is not going to be any slap again after Bihar elections as all the corrupt forces are aligning just for the sake of winning elections and due to the percentage of their basic votes they are perhaps going to win. They may taken slaps on their faces if they fight at their own.Look who is going to align with Great Fodder scam holder with a history of long imprisonment and the Congress with a 3 to 4% vote share and other small players.

BJP's first solid slap on the face within one year of the royal travel and majestic rule got from AAP: so BJP will be doing many dirty tricks to create challenges and problems to the AAP.

The next big slap will be coming straight from Bihar. The yoga people must be alert about the "karma" come back cycle effect too.

Sowing and reaping the same product, the natural and divine lesson.

Advani is playing his card very well!... Lets analyse the whole thing! BJP is damn sure, of making him the PRESIDENT in 2017 when Pranab tenure comes to an end! MODI and SHAH will make him President for sure, thats why he is been kept out!...

But he has taint of Babri , done by presstitutes and opposition! how do you get general acceptance? pit him against MODI.. all will side with him.. Now as Sagarika ghose to sonia gandhi.. kejriwa to karunanidhi, will shed crorodile tears and will stand next to him!.. game set, its a game of throne! guys!... keep all your tweets and comments ready.. I will show them to you, come 2017...

BUT, if Advani GOES against now, of MODI followers, he HAS HAD it.. like Jinnah comment, he will go down the drain. hence the cancelling of meet with AAP.. AAP has no say in 2017 election.. and Advani is sure, anarchist will NOT survive till then too! Its a GAME OF THRONE... like JON SNOW.. vhe vhe vhe

people had enormous respect for advani.there is no denying that he is one of the founding fathers of bjp which was erstwhile called as jansangh.
but he lost it completely unable to digest the fact that he cannot become pm as his age has become a barrier for him.the frst mistake he done was praising jinnah
in pak and earned the wrath of rss
.bjp has given him ample chances to become pm once in 2004 and then in 2009.its not in his fate to become pm.
after his failure,he tried to proppel his disciple sushma swaraj who was not from rss and also rss also do not trust her as she is same like advani
as her ultimate goal is to become pm.
to make her dream true, there are allegations that she has compromised on bjp principles and made friends with congress and sonia gandhi
and congress allies so that when the 'D' day comes(in may 2014) they will
support her.but modi has thrawted all her plans and she is now staring at the fag end of her political career.

in my personal opinion, modi has earmarked, loksabha speaker sumitra mahajan who is betenoire of sushma as pres candidate and mj akbar as vice president candidate
as he wants support of president after 2019 ls elections if bjp falls short of majority.he doesnt want his betenoire advani to play game when he is vulnerable if bjp

is short of majority.advani knows this plan of modi.if advani softens with modi who is his disciple,he will straight away make him pres but advani is not ready.
.it s better he spends his old age with grand children as becoming pm alone is not hall mark of success as he will always be remembered
as one of the founders of bjp along with vajpeyee.but his latest antics will make him loose respect even among those people who respect him.hope that is not the

I must agree with you in your political calculation. All political parties have vested interests and will try to put the powerful people into top jobs. For the BJP, the central administration is not an issue now, but only to make the party big and put party big stars to key positions.

I do remember, the united front Government of the leftish parties under the leadership of the Marxist party came into power led by EMS Namboothiripad while my uncle was the Chairman of the KSRTC (M.M. Cherian, brother of the former Governor of Nagaland Dr. M.M. Thomas) I was surprised to see the number of drivers and conductors from my district got jobs at the Kerala Road Transport Corporation who were jobless communist party comrades. This hiring practice undertaken by the various political parties created an old crawling white elephant of Kerala. It is terribly sad to watch the total vested interests of the political parties and the innocent electorate are mere onlookers with anxiety: the BJP will the getting the national award for this practice.

Mathew, how did your uncle Thomas yetta become christian majority Nagaland Governor.. ? may I know!? there lies the answer!

any party has to give respect to its party worker, and functionaries and reward suitably.. governor, ambassadors to foreign countires, chairman of "Nigama/mandali", MLC, rajyasabha member, President, director of govt subsidiaries, high commssioners, cneor board chief!.. "Our system has never been merit based, non partisan, sans religion/caste equation"! this was fron jawahar's time. the sooner u accept it, peace will be with you! :)

    Advani Lost his "Vani"!
He is the first casualty of autocracy stamping on his freedom to air his viewpoint or to meet anyone from other political parties, which is a norm all these years.
Modi PM, it seems fears Kejriwal CM, What a 56" seena we have elected as PM!
This is the beginning of stifled voice & many more in next 4 years will unravel.

    Abdul rafique and Mathew,

U both judged it wrong . bjp would have finished if modi did not take control of it and brought it to power . bcoz there was frequent fight going on In the party between
sushma jaitley rajNath for becoming pm candidate and also few oldies who are on the wrong side of eighties who could not stand properly also wanted to become pm . these people had created such mess that party was In the danger of extinction . modi straight away came and throwed all the garbages out of party, brought discipline and installed hierarchy and told who is the boss . lalith modi mess happened during upa rule and when namo was not In bjp central command . just see how modi will clean this mess which Involves some senior leaders of Congress also . in one word modi gave new life to bjp . This mess Is nothing when compared to massive corruption and chaos of upa government . bcoz of modi and only modi not only bjp will complete 5 years it also has realistic hence to come to power again in 2019 bcoz of modis corruption free rule and being a strong leader with no nonsense approach . do you think in next election, people of India are mad to give this great nations reins to one dumb person who did not do any job in his entire life and not a self made man.

Mr. Sunil: You are indeed exposing the old history of internal strife of the BJP party, and the same can be resurrected again, because human nature is wrapped up with selfishness.

It is up to every person to choose the party of their choice which will not undermine the democracy. But the most bewildering thing for me while observing the Gujarathi dominance upon the BJP followers in the South. Mr. Sunil, I request to the people of your caliber to see the difference in between the northern and southern states in literacy, and see the dangerous march through blindly following a bunch of ultra radical backward minded politicians.

Mr. Rafiq: You are correct. Perhaps the electorate of India has not yet smelled or seen the autocratic rule of India through a democratically elected Government precisely controlled by a very hand full of political Gujarathi clique.

For them, some of the patrons and old leaders are totally bygone broken tools so dumped to the garage corner. The non-BJP ruled States are treated as useless alien barren field. How the CM of Rajastan is treated at this critical time related to the Lalit Modi issue, even though she is an hardcore BJP follower, but no hold in the RSS? India has not seen such a predicament like this earlier. Something is smoking inside! I have traveled to many North Indian cities, and some of my friends are expressing greater fear as if they will be attacked while they are paying in the Churches and homes. What an alarming predicament is this in a so called free democratic country?
