Bengaluru: Advani may have experienced 'Emergency-like situation' under Modi, says Siddu

Bengaluru, Jun 19: Even as the ruling BJP and the Narendra Modi regime at the Centre felt embarrassed at veteran BJP leader L K Advani’s remark that a situation like clamping 1975 emergency over the country could not be ruled out even now, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah sought rub salt into BJP wounds by pointing out that the veteran leader may have "experienced Emergency-like situation in the present Narendra Modi Government".

Advani had made his remark that a repeat of Emergency could not be ruled out in the future in an interview to The Indian Express on the forthcoming anniversary of Emergency on June 26.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Friday said that BJP veteran L K Advani might have experienced Siddaramaiah, who was part of the Janata Party that was formed after the revocation of the Emergency and continued to oppose the Congress party till he joined it during the S M Krishna-led Congress rule in the State, said "Advani is one of the country’s tallest leaders and he might have experienced Emergency like situation under the Modi government."

Unlike other former prime ministers, Modi has centralised all decision-making process and all the party veterans in BJP had been completely sidelined, Siddaramaiah said.

The Chief Minister said Advani may have voiced his feelings based on his experience during the one year rule of the Modi government.

Senior BJP leaders like Advani, Murli Manohar Joshi and others have been dumped in the largely ornamental Margadarshak Mandal, which is yet to meet even once during the last one year, and all decisions and powers are concentrated in the hands of Modi and his trusted lieutenant Amit Shah, who has been appointed the BJP national president, Siddaramaiah said.

When Indira Gandhi imposed emergency, several like minded came together and fought with tooth and nail.
Otherwise what is the use of life and the fight for independence, if again falling trap of another few selfish coterie of dictators?
See, are this AAP ministers and MLA's who are voted by people allowed to rule by Union Govt led by BJP?
Whether India would have remained democratic if these people ruled for so many years?
They are like Saddam Hussein of Iraq.

Advaniji, what you got in these years "BABAJI KA THULLU"??If you cannot become the Prime
Minister, then what is your interest in keeping the party in power. Obviously
nil. This is a reasonable and human way of thinking. So Advaniji is thinking
aloud. He is worried that Modi may emergency. He warns the country and
the opposition of the impending danger so that they may do something fast and
save the country. At least in his last days on earth, Advani is struggling to
do something good for the country, totally sacrificing his personal interests!
    Great man!

siddu is close friend of modi so as mamata, jayalalitha, devegowda, mulayam, lalu are all close friends of modi and thier main intention is to see congress mukth bharath.
if congress is strong how will they become pm of india which is thier ultimate dream.poor congis dont know these leaders ultimate aim.even if they know also they cant do anything as thier party is in the verge of extinction all over india and in kerala, assam and karnataka it is in icu.

if there is any strong leader who oppose congress tooth and nail is siddu himself as his entire political career is created by opposing congress and not bjp.i admire him bcoz he dont care or give two hoots to anyone in the congress hicommand including sonia gandhi.if any one tries to do the mistake of dislodging him from cm post in the congress he will bring down the entire govt with him.lolz

Truly, now India is under the total control of two people, Mr. Modi and Amith Shaw, No 1 and No 2. The other party members are acting their mouth wide opened without twisting their tongue in any direction due to the fear of these two personalities.

A very serious volcano is forming inside the BJP under this high pressure, while watching the distressed faces of the BJP party leaders from various States. While watching the BJP party conference in Karnataka a few months back, the streets were decorated with the pictures of those personalities. How many leaders of the BJP from Karnataka were at the front row in the conference? The BJP party followers of the Southern States will have to pay key attention to this totally misguided march of the nation. I don't belong to any party in India but I am bewildered due to this march of the nation.

yes, india is under the control of two people that is pm modi and amit shah.india was under the control of italian women for 10 years before.as in democracy any country should be under the sole control of elected pm and not under any extra constitutional authority like what used to be in last decade.power without responsibility.

its better that india is under control on democraticaly elected pm

My friend, was she the PM of India? She had greater influence in the party, but she never played any dictatorial role like the current drama under the BJP Government. Please count the number of too powerful people from the State of Gujarat and from the rest of the States.

Sir, you are an educated person and even if we are standing apart in our political views, I respect educated people debating with me.

It creates nausea by listening to some of the Ministers from Delhi talking total nonsense in the forest language.
