Flutter in HRD Ministry as Smriti Irani's PS goes on leave

New Delhi, Jun 19 (PTI): HRD Minister Smriti Irani's Private Secretary Binita Thakur, who has gone on leave, has set off speculations of yet another change in the ministry.

According to reports, Thakur, who went on leave last week, had sought to be relieved from the Ministry. A 1996 batch IPS officer of Rajasthan cadre, Thakur was appointed as private secretary to the HRD Minister in September last year.

She had replaced Vinita Srivastava, a Railway Engineering Services (RES) officer, who had a brief tenure as Irani's PS after she assumed charge of the ministry in May last year.

Now, the name of M Imkongla Jamir, a 2002 Karnataka cadre IAS officer, is doing the rounds as Thakur's replacement in the Ministry.

The development comes at a time when the Ministry has seen several senior level officers leaving it. Radha S Chauhan, Joint Secretary, Secondary Education, joined UIDAI a couple of months back much before completing her five-year tenure at the HRD Ministry.

Other officers such as Veena Ish, Jagmohan Raju and Praveen Prakash had sought early transfers from the ministry.

In April this year, Amarjeet Sinha, Additional Secretary in the Ministry, who had supposedly developed differences with Irani, was transferred to the Rural Development Ministry.

She is a puppet in the hands of RSS leaders and DInanath Batra who wants to saffronize education and take India's education system back to the 15th century....... 'Shri Ganesha is a product of plastic surgery' type of school syllabus.

Those sly RSSwines are finding it easy to manipulate her because of her lack of reasoning power.

she is good to deliver Arrogant speeches and cheap one liners.

Introduction of deemed-to-be Universities and subsequent dilution in the UGC Norms was a game changer for bed times in higher education sector. Why congress zeroed-in on the advocate representing KMC in famous deemed to be University case in Supreme Court to head HRD Ministry is a million dollar question....! Mr. Kabil Sibal is primarily responsible for degradation of higher education sector in the country. Congress has engaged several "hit and run" Ministers like him whose prominence is next to zero when party is out of power. In key portfolios, they believes in Ghasni Mode of engagement. You can see Mr. Kapil Sibal in active politics with key portfolios when Congress come back to power next time. Their agenda is clear and they are not held close to people to make them answerable as required in a true democratic setup. Till then, they will argue criminal cases for clients like Sahara on hefty fees and defend the undefendable. While in power, most of their administrative decisions are controversial and embedded in "conflict of interests". What ever they do, they ensure that there no conflicts in personal interests. Notwithstanding few petty issues in leading a team and a few exits of noted bureaucrats consequent thereto, Ms. Smriti Irani has done a clean job at the Ministry and, as pointed-out by somebody elsewhere, Madam is at least aware what she is doing.

THIS 6-day miracle degree holder is on one mission.. "DESTROY INDIAN EDUCATION SYSTEM"
GREAT thinkers of CONGRESS have painstakingly nurtured world class institutions like IIM/IIT/IISC /ISRO/NIFT & many more.
ONLY thing the chaddies did is ruining the quality & integrity of these institutes.
SOONER this HRD thrown out better for indian students.

When Smriti Irani became HRD minister, even i too got surprised...

But over a year, while reviewing her actions... She is really not so bad...

Infact she has very in-depth details of know-hows and clear on vision...

In her last few Interviews with Arnab and Rajat Sharma, She clearly prooves that she knows what she is doing...

But she is bit aggressive.. Hope it will not impact on the results what she delivered..

Atleast she is much better than her predecessors..

We had some Pallam Raju who was completly hiding in his 2 year term.. Prior to that we had Kapil Sibbal who made some stupid decissions on $35 laptop and various schemes which financially hit us bad and never helped anyone.

Kapil sibbal also bought every child one laptop scheme.. But no one received anything..

Hmmm.... Atleast we are seeing lot of actions from Smriti.... Atleast better....

Anyway let us see how next few years will shape HRD ministry...

These cabinet Ministers having no knowledge about their portfolios were running and flying around for political campaign and to make derogatory remarks to arouse the emotions of their gullible party followers on the other hand to terrorize the defenseless minorities.

The educated people working under them are now dismayed and confused in this wayward march of the administration thus leaving one after another.

    @Gangaram,

All successful people in the history were not having any educational qualifications.Leadership quality does not come from qualifications alone.Dhirubai Ambani was not a qualified person. But he built an empire where thousands became rich by investing in his firms and hundreds of thousands of people highly qualified engineers,MBA's etc etc are still working for Reliance.A good leader needs to have a good vision, perseverance, non corrupt and most importantly should be interested in welfare of the people.
During UPA 'S rule all these people used to work without any commitment. But now they have a deadlines which is painful and causes lots of discomfort to come out of Inertia. So,it's not a surprise.

    @Gangaram,
what was the qualification of Sonia Gandhi? She is the congress President and During UPA-1 she was chosen to be the PM of India by her party but because of the President Kalam, who pointed out the technical problem existed in the process she lost the chance.

Had Smirti Irani belonged to some minority community and also if she were to be from congress, then there would have been zero likes for your comments.

Mr. Shenoy: What you are telling about the accomplishment of some of the uneducated people in the business world is 100% correct.
Bill Gates is a college out, doesn't have a degree.

Some big time leaders like Stalin-Hitler etc etc had great leadership qualities and the number of mass murder was by the millions.

The half naked-Mahatma Gandhi had the leadership in another way through his spiritual strength and greater vision to get independence for India through non-violence and through the application of the sermon on the mountain preached by JESUS CHRIST which has totally transformed his life. The most favorite song of Gandhiji among the few Christian songs, was "when I survey the wondrous cross", which was the last song he sung before his death on the previous day.

How many great leaders of the past are inspiring today's generation is the biggest question? See the tragic end of Saddam Hussain, Khadaffi etc. Indeed, they were very strong leaders ruled by the sword and used the gun of vendetta upon their enemies. Compassion and love were alien words in their lifestyle.

" The more you care about the powerless, the more power you have.

The more you serve those with no influence, the more influence GOD gives you.

The more you humble yourself, the more you are honored by others".

author unknown. Anybody with a degree in those qualities will be great leaders, and they will inspire the generations yet to come. Thank you for your comment.

If any honest officer is serving the NATION then he will not be with this cheating and anti INDIAN, ministers.
Serving the NATION is not only PRIDE, U NEED HONESTY.
So, present GOVT (ONE MAN SHOW AS PER SENIOR BJP LEADER MR ADVANI) running under dictatorship and we will not very far from 'GOONDA RAJ', Since most of the CABINET MINISTERS records are very bad.
More officers will follow and then GOVT will run short of EDUCATED OFFICERS.
    Then comes the collapse.
