Pakistan Rangers fire at Indian posts on International Border

Jammu, June 20 (IANS): Pakistan Rangers on Saturday resorted to unprovoked firing at Indian positions on the International Border in Jammu district, police said.

"At 9.20 a.m. today (Saturday), Pakistan Rangers violated the ceasefire agreement by targeting a BSF (Border Security Force) outpost at Pindi in Arnia area of the International Border," a senior police officer told IANS here.

The BSF troopers were working near the border fence when Pakistan firing started. They did not retaliate, the officer said.

"No casualty or damage occurred on our side," the officer added.
