Gang gatecrashes into house - attacks family near Kannur check-post

Mangaluru, Jun 20: A gang entered the house of Naufal near Kannur check-post on Thursday, and attacked the residents. It is said that Naufal, his mother, Ayesha, younger sister, Nazia, and brother-in-law, Hameed, were at home when the incident occurred.

A complaint filed by Naufal says that V H Latif, V H Shariff, V H Abbas, V S Basheer, Shaan, Faloon, Jameela, Mumtaz, Asif K P, and auto driver, Farooq, who came in a car and an auto rickshaw, injured Naufal over his head and back of his head by piercing with a knife. After hitting Naufal's mother, Ayesha, with wooden reeper, the gang went about smashing dining table, television set, teapoy, door etc.

He said that the gang members were angry that Naufal's sister had married Hameed, a relative of the accused, and become his second wife.
