Bantwal, Jun 20: In a tragic incident, a-two-year-old Lavanya, daughter of Lokayya belonging to scheduled caste, accidentally fell in a pond and died while playing in varandah of the house at Kakyapadavu on Saturday, June 20.

The house people lifted the child soon after she fell in the water and rushed her to the hospital.

The child breathed her last on the way to hospital.
