Puttur: Bus hits electric pole, passengers safe

Puttur, Jun 21: A KSRTC bus which lost control hit an electric pole at Padibagilu junction near Alike on Saturday June 20.

The damage to the bus was severe as the bus fell of the road to hit the electric pole, but all the passengers were safe. The bus was carrying 28 passengers at the time of the accident.

The bus was travelling from Puttur towards Kasargod and the driver of the bus lost control when a vehicle coming from the opposite side was sharing the narrow road. The electric pole came off the ground and the live wires fell on the bus as a result of the impact. Still the passengers managed to come out from the bus unscathed. Vittal police visited the spot and helped the passengers.
