8,000 prisoners do yoga in Delhi


New Delhi, June 21 (IANS): At least 8,000 inmates at the Tihar Central Jail here performed yoga on the occasion of International Yoga Day on Sunday.

"They performed yoga in their barracks. Prison officials also took part in the event," Deputy Inspector General of Tihar Jail Mukesh Prasad told IANS.

The two-hour event ended at around 8.30 a.m. The jail conducted a month-long yoga training session ahead of Sunday.
