Mangaluru, Jun 23: Two men were feared drowned at Adyapady dam in River Phalguni near Vamanjoor here on Tuesday June 23.
The deceased have been identified as Tony (37) of Tarigudde and Ramesh (30) from Neermarga. Both were into catering work.

It is learnt that Tony and Ramesh along with Deepak came to the dam in the afternoon on Tuesday by auto rickshaw. Tony and Ramesh dived into the water while Deepak stayed behind as he did not know swimming. They came up from the water and again after a few minutes dived in from a higher level, but got washed away by the currents.
Fire service personnel, life guards from Tannirbavi along with Kavoor police rushed to the spot for the search operations.
At dusk the search operations had to be stopped due to poor visibility. Police said that the search will begin on Wednesday early morning.
