DRDO scientist Narayana Murthy gets Astronautical Society award


New Delhi, June 23 (IANS): Noted DRDO scientist B.H.V.S. Narayana Murthy has been conferred with the Astronautical Society of India's Rocket and Related Technologies Award in recognition of his research, innovations, sustained contributions and leadership.

Murthy, who is associate director, Research Centre Imarat, DRDO, Hyderabad, was given the award in recognition of contribution concerning development of state-of-the-art real time onboard mission computers, real time software and other avionics technologies for numerous Indian missiles and other aerospace applications.

As project and technology director, Murthy is presently steering avionics-related projects, said a an official statement.
